Organization

The General Assembly is the main governing body. It is the highest decision-making body of the Consortium and it is composed of the Presidency, the Vice-Presidency and staff members that belong to the public administrations of the consortium.

Presidency is exercised by the Regional Ministry of Junta de Extremadura that has competences in energy matters.

Vice-presidency is exercised alternatively by the Provincial Councils of Cáceres and Badajoz.

The Director of AGENEX is responsible to execute and oversee the agreements and tasks that have been entrusted to AGENEX by the General Assembly. In order to accomplish this, it counts on a team of technical and administrative staff in the offices of Cáceres and Badajoz. Internally, AGENEX is divided into two main areas, the Technical and European Projects Area and the Economic Area.

Their function is to advise the General Assembly and organize related activities. They provide technical and scientific support to AGENEX.

In addition to the previous bodies, the Consortium disposes of a Secretariat.
