PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

AgroRES wants to create awareness about the benefits of investing in RE, such as gaining independence from external energy supplies or contributing to more sustainable energy production.

In addition, the barriers and challenges that still haunt the adoption of RE are also identified. AgroRES will design policies that support the integration of RE technologies, suiting each agricultural and rural area, providing farmers with the necessary evaluation to face investments.

This objective will be achieved by:

Promoting a smart and resilient agricultural sector.
Intensifying measures to care for the environment and climate action to meet the EU's objectives.
Strengthening the socioeconomic fabric in rural areas.

Some other sub-objective are:

Increasing the capacity and knowledge of project target groups, especially stakeholders and policy makers, regarding investment possibilities in agricultural and rural areas. Expand the field of action for this learning process through specific communication and dissemination tools.
Raising general awareness and promote public dialogue to overcome previously identified barriers and challenges.
Providing and exchange a series of good practices and experiences in the field that could be replicated in other regions.
Generating Action Plans that address some or all of the challenges encountered in agricultural and rural areas.
