MonitorEE

TITLE:
Improving energy efficiency through smarter management systems (MONITOREE).

PROJECT TYPE:
   Interreg Europe Programme.
   Project code: 01C0208.

DATE: 1.3.2027 – 31.5.2027.
COUNTRIES: Spain, Croatia, Romania, Finland, France, Poland

WEB: https://www.interregeurope.eu/monitoree

TOTAL BUDGET OF THE PROJECT: 1.403.677 €

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

OBJECTIVE.
The main objective of the project is to improve the policies addressing energy efficiency and energy performance in buildings, through 3 general processes:

  • Analysis of energy consumption and energy patterns in target buildings, paying special attention to fossil-fueled energy use.
  • Simulate the theoretical demand after implementing the proposed energy improvements, comparing different measures to ensure good energy performance.
  • Monitor energy consumption and GHG emissions after modification/rehabilitation.

ACTIONS.
MonitorEE will follow an integrated approach, implementing quality training activities that ensure different levels of learning. The approach is divided into 3 steps, where learning and exchange of experiences among them will be ensured:

  • STEP 1: Analysis of the partners State-of-the-Art and identification of valuable experiences.
  • STEP 2: Implementation of concrete activities allowing to further explore those experiences.
  • STEP 3: Good practices are finally transferred to a regional policy instrument.

Thanks to the roadmap established by MonitorEE, governments and public administrations will have a deeper understanding of all the processes needed to apply energy efficiency measures in buildings. They will also be able to count with a monitoring tool allowing them to check the performance of the different investments made in recent years and in the future. The monitoring process will allow to compare pre/post-rehabilitation process in order to have a more efficient application of EE measures within the building stock.
