PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

OBJECTIVE.
The overall objective of ShareRES is to improve the policies that enable an active participation of citizen energy communities in the energy market, leading to a more decarbonized and flexible energy system. This main objective will be achieved by focusing on:

  • Addressing the barriers and difficulties for community development within the EU.
  • Engaging the right stakeholders, including public authorities with the capacity to solve them.
  • Transferring the knowledge and experience from advanced regions to those with a lower deployment of energy communities.
  • Creating tools and solutions based on the experience gathered.
  • Reaching social inclusion, reducing energy poverty and promoting local economic development in the involved areas.

All of this will be done in the framework of territorial cooperation among partner regions and by the sharing of good practices on the creation of citizen and renewable energy communities.

ACTIONS.
ShareRES will follow a simple integrated approach based on common training activities, such as workshops, thematic conferences, and study visits, including some other more sophisticated tools such as joint analyses; all of them linked in order to create and improve related policy improvements:

  • Analysis of regional situation and identification of existing value:
    - S1&2 will count with the Kick-off meeting, design of the project handbook and the learning strategy, and creation of the Local Stakeholder Groups. Partners will start to identify Good Practices in their regions.
    - S3&4 will be dedicated to the elaboration of the regional self-assessments and a joint study on the state of the art.
  • Interregional experiences based on exchange activities:
    - S1-6. One Interregional Event will be organized per semester, giving partners the opportunity to share the good practices and regional self-assessment findings during interregional workshops and study visits.
    - The interregional learning will be transferred to the region based on the work of the local stakeholder groups.
